6 Then the Lord [Jesus] said, Hear what the unjust judge said.
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
[Look 18:5-8]
God wants us to live by faith in this year and all the days of our lives. As believers, we have no choice but to live by faith. Bible says the just shall live by faith, and we know without faith, it’s impossible to please God.
It’s not difficult to live by faith. Faith is simply believing that God will do what He said He’ll do. We lose out when we allow our intellectual minds to start doing the analysis which leads to paralysis. God wants us to live as little children when it comes to matters of faith. Your two year old child won’t ask to see your payslip or your bank balance if you promise to buy that child an aircraft. S/he won’t ask you why you take tro-tro (passenger buses in Ghana, which are mostly uncomfortable)if you have money to buy aircraft. S/he simply believes what mum/dad has said and considers it done. You should also consider what God has said as done, and you’ll see it. “Believing is seeing”, not “Seeing is believing”.
God made the universe by faith in Hebrews 11:3. He took another giant step of faith when He decided to send His only Begotten Son into the world to die for our sins. What if Jesus couldn’t make it? God and we would have been in serious trouble. God acted in faith and the results are there for us all to see today.
All God is looking for are people of faith. Let’s be in that number and the blessings will be tremendous.May God give us the grace to live by faith and not walk by sight. Amen.
